Woohoo!
Friday :)
That's all I need to say, right?
I've been enjoyng a relaxing *and quiet* afternoon since I took my final this morning and was able to come home to an empty house.
I've been having a blast sharing all my mantle projects with you this week and I hope you've enjoyed seeing them!!
I have one last quick project to show you for today and then I'll be taking a break to just chill out this weekend :)
Well if you call christmas performances, cookie parties, wrapping gifts and wrapping up studying for finals chilling out.
But it'll be a lot less stressful than a weekned of homework!
So...this next project is suuuuper easy.
So easy that I don't really have a step by step picture process for you .
But here are the lovelies:
Aren't they fun?
And if you were super brave, you could let the kidlets help you :)
All you need is:
*scrap wood (or canvases would work too!)
*Paper for trees
*Chipboard trees (optional)
*Vinyl (or stickers) for letters.
Here they are hanging out on my mantle...
I had some chipboard trees that I got from Michaels in the dollar bins.
It was actually a small chipboard album so I just took the little ring clip off and had six trees!
Score!
I used the chipboard trees underneath the paper to give it some dimension.
I like how they pop off the wood a bit.
I used my exacto knife to trace around the chipboard piece onto the paper and then just used dabs of hotglue to glue the paper on.
I also inked the edges of the trees to keep the bare chipboard from showing.
The letters were cut on vinyl with my cricut.
Easy as cut, peel and stick!
I used white trim paint for the white background and red enamel spraypaint for the red one.
And nope. I didn't distress them :)
Aren't you proud!
Besides waiting for the paint to dry, this project took less than 10 minutes.
Love simple projects that make a big impact :)
You can see the rest of my mantle here.
Which one is your favorite?
Have a happy, festive weekend, guys!
