Today is Day 1 of A Creative Christmas in November...I hope you enjoy all the fun posts and give the guests a TON of love :)
So let's get to it with our first fabulous guest post!!!
--------------------------------------
Hi everyone! I am so glad that Kelsey is letting me guest post today as part of the "A Creative Christmas!" I love this time of year! I love the fresh snow, hot chocolate, cuddling with my husband and son, chillin' by the Christmas tree, and looking at Christmas lights.
My name is Stephanie and I blog over at My Li'l Pumpkin Patch.
I love to create anything. I also love to be frugal, and I am going to show you how to make a snowflake ornament today.
This is all you will need:
Thick and Thin Wire (one for the skeleton, one for wrapping)
Paper and Pen
Ribbon or Twine (for hanging it)
Pliers (optional)
Beads (optional)
First, draw this "asterisk" shape onto paper so you have a pattern to follow.
Then, make arms by folding the wire the length of the line and twisting. Repeat with all 6 (or however many arms you choose).
I found it is easiest to make a loop and then twist it a whole bunch.
I wrapped some more wire around the center to secure the arms and to add some pretty-ness to the center.
Then, I took some thin scrapbook wire (you could use thin jewelry wire) and wrapped it around each arm
and then created a fun design. I thought it would be pretty to add some little beads, but I couldn't find mine. I could find them when I didn't need them, but things tend to disappear when I need them.
Does this happen to anyone else?
There countless ways to use this fun snowflake: dress up a gift, hang it on your tree, hang it on your doorknobs (I love doing this!), give it as a gift, make a garland, etc.
I am so glad I got to be at Tattered and Inked today to share this with you! I would love it if you stopped by my blog to say hi!
