Hey there Tattered & Inked readers! I am so excited to be here today to share a holiday gift idea with you all! Thanks so much for having me, Kelsey!

First, a little about me...

My name is Kara and I am a wife to my best friend and a mommy to a sassy and sweet 3 year old. I am also the blogger behind Mine for the Making where I share crafts, tutorialsrecipes, home improvement projects, mommy adventures, printables, frugal decorating, organizational tips, and ideas for teaching. I also make lovely handmade jewelry and hair accessories to sell in my shop. I am a former teacher recently turned stay-at-home-mom and am totally loving it, but am constantly looking for ways to keep busy! Thank goodness for blogland and Pinterest, right? : )
Today I am going to share a simple and inexpensive gift idea that girls of all ages will love.
Fancy Necklace Stand

{Supplies:}

-Cardboard silhouette necklace stand (JoAnn for about $8)
-Spray paint (I chose black)
-Pretty scrapbook paper
-Mod Pode
-Sponge brush

{How To:}

1. Spray paint the bottom "stand" of the cardboard necklace holder. Let dry.

2. Rip up scrapbook paper.

3. Using your sponge brush, paint the cardboard silhouette with Mod Podge and start applying the scrapbook paper. There's no right or wrong way of doing this...just be sure to cover the entire surface of the silhouette with paper. It's okay to over lap the paper and it's okay to get your hands messy smoothing out the paper.

4. Once the silhouette is covered with scrapbook paper, apply one more layer of Mod Podge to the top to "seal" everything. Allow time to dry.

5. Put a few necklaces on your Fancy Necklace Stand and call it a gift!

Thanks for hanging out with me for a bit! I'd love for you to stop by my place sometime!

Thanks for having me over, Kelsey!

Happy holiday crafting!
