Summer is here!!
We have officially started summer break around here and we are loving it!
Now if the weather would just get the memo and start being warm enough to swim that'd be great :)
Father's Day is sneaking up on us quick!
We finally nailed down plans for us to visit Disneyland & Universal Studios in two weeks & we'll be gone over Father's Day so I've had to start thinking about it early so it doesn't get forgotten in the midst of princesses, Harry Potter & Minnie Mouse.
I thought I'd share an incredibly easy gift idea with you guys... actually it ends up being TWO gift ideas.
I used these for Valentine's but I thought they'd be perfect for Father's Day too so I've been saving them.
Every guy loves getting gadgets and tools, at least most guys do I'd imagine.
I hate statements that encompass everyone. I don't know everyone.
So let's just say that I think a lot of guys like tools & gadgets :)
My guy just so happens to be really getting into the DIY world and is a major help on lots of my projects. He's been bit by the building bug too and has built some pretty incredible things in the last few months. More to come on that in a later post.
So I wanted to get him a couple things that we'd thrown around saying that he needed but we just never got around to it.
That only ever happens to us, right??
Here's what I came up with for an easy gift- and of course I had to add a personalized factor to them!! But don't worry, I'm providing those free prints for you at the end of the post.
The two gifts I wanted to give were A) a laser level and B) a stud finder.
Now go on Amazon and you can spend anywhere from $1.99 to $80 on these items.
My best advice is to read the reviews and make sure it has all the qualifications you're looking for.
Let's talk Laser Level first.
These things are great for the OCD in your life- which hubby totally is.
We've been needing one forever- hanging pictures & wall art is a breeze with it.
So I snagged one up.
Here is one that is nearly exactly the one I bought.

Who says you can't make tools look cute for a gift?
I created fun printable cards for each tool that were a little pun-ny but made the whole thing a little more special than just getting a tool.
Hubby definitely does keep my world straight & level.
For the stud finder, I had the hardest time picking which one to get.
After reading about 1000 reviews, I finally chose one that was in the middle price-range-wise.
Here is the one I purchased. (not affiliated with Amazon, it's just where I love to shop!)
This makes hanging heavy items a breeze!!
It has good reviews and has worked every time we've tried it.
And of course, a stud finder was just BEGGING for a punny card to go with it.
I wrapped the tools- the stud-finder was tricky- and then wrapped a couple piece of ribbon through the hole in the printed cards.
Instantly gift-worthy now!!
Hubby loved them and it's always fun to make simple things look colorful & exciting!
I've provided the two cards as FREE printables just for you, lovely friends.
The laser level card comes in just one color-way but I created the stud-finder card in several color combinations.

I hope you enjoy them & they served as a little inspiration for the special dad in your life!!
