Sharing the Love {Day 4}:"I Hoped It'd Be You" Printable

Can you believe we're nearing the end already? 

It's almost Friday- can I get a woot, woot? 

Annd It's day four of Sharing the Love!!

I'm desperately in need of the weekend, I don't know about the rest of you.

I've got a to-do list a mile long and a million things swimming around in my head. 

For tonight, I'm hoping to just be able to take a deep breath, 

get a hot shower & some good sleep before finishing out my third week at clinicals tomorrow!

We have such a sweet story and I'm so glad I'm ending up with him.

Because I never in a million years thought I'd be able to have a life & a family with him.

It's a dream come true :)

Sharing the Love 2013 {Day 3}: "He is Mine" Printable

We're up to day three!!! 

And here are three things I got done today: 

1. I painted a dresser I've had sitting in my garage for a few weeks & it's gorgeous now!!
2. I went grocery shopping with the fiance & little guy and quizzed my guy on his medical terms while we grabbed things on our list- we are awesome multi-taskers. 

(although the other shoppers probably thought us saying things like 'ecephalo-' and 'hemato-' sounded awesome while they were shopping!) 

3. I ordered my jewelry for the wedding from an amazing little Etsy shop called Blue Soul Designs and I'm way excited about getting my pieces in :) 

It's getting close, guys!!
Like, ten days close!! 

And I have a fun printable as promised for you guys today!! 

This one is a play off the one I made last year for my Hunger Games week because it's from that series. 

But I figured that some of you might not be die-hard Hunger Games fans and might just like the quote in it's bare, sweet form.

We're up to day two, guys!

Today marks eleven days until wedding day and I've got a mountain of projects to finish :) 

But I'm feeling like things are under control so that's good, right? 

My dining table is looking like a craft store exploded all over it. 

But it kinda makes me happy because I love looking at all the aqua & white together. 

Today's printable makes me smile because we say it all the time around here. 

And it's so true. 

If you're not an aqua lover like me, print off the grey & white version and frame it in a colorful frame to make it pop or in black or silver for a bit of glam!

Sharing the Love 2013: "Made Extraordinary" Printable

Yes, today is the day!!
Today is the first day of this: 

I know you're super excited because I have been all weekend!!!

I've got SO many fun printables to share with you this week!!

This one is my absolute favorite so I had to share it first. 

Remember at the beginning of the year when I shared my word for the year??

It was 'extraordinary'. 

So of course my favorite printable would include that fabulous word in it.

It helps that it came from one of my favorite authors too :)

It means a whole lot to me because I found that 'right' person this year and I get to marry him in exactly 12 days!!

You heard right!!!
I'm back with a printable!! Yay :) 

I love love love making printables throughout the year and I usually will make them whenever the mood hits me or I hear a saying or song that I love. 

So when I went looking through my archives to drag some out for Valentines Day, I realized I had a lot more than I thought.

So you know what that means, right?? 

That's right...

it's going to be another year of Valentine's printables ALL WEEK LONG!!!

Distressed Blue & Walnut Buffet

My first 'real' post of the new year!!!

Aren't you excited for a little bit of the real deal?

I know I'm super excited to show you some of the pieces I've done in the past six months or so.

Definitely some of my favorites have been done & this is SO one of them. 

I've spent this past weekend in a whirlwind of wedding preparations considering we only have THREE weeks to prepare for everything!!
But we've got this :)
So many things fell into place and I'm feeling so ready for it all! 

Annndd I've got some fun printables to share with you later this week so be ready!!

But for now, onto some furniture eye candy.

And you know I had to start the New Year out with my signature color :) 

It all started with this sad little washed-out guy: 

Can you believe that I picked him up for only 20$ at Goodwill??
I found a new Goodwill a few miles from home that I'm kind of in love with. 

It's definitely a new 'stop-every-week' type place for me. 

So I snatched him up because I just knew he could look gorgeous. 

I mean, look at those pretty doors :) 

'

Prep was super easy for this guy because he was already in very good condition. 

The top was the only part that needed a little love.

See some of the lovely scratches? 

I took a medium-grit sandpaper to it and it smoothed it right out. 

Much better!!

Once I had it sanded down,
I decided I just couldn't cover up the top of it. 

I loved the grain and really wanted something to pop. 

I already knew that I wanted to do a beautiful aqua for the body of it so I decided to stain the top in my favorite dark walnut. 

It turned out gorgeous. 

Look at that beautiful, buttery finish!! 

I decided to use the color I always get crazy amounts of compliments about in my house...

which is my living room color 'Ebbtide' by Sherwin Williams.

It's such a gorgeous aqua and I'm so so happy that I decided to use it on furniture.

I'm just as in love with it on furniture as I am with it on my walls!!

Look at how beautiful it turned out when everything was said and done: 

Swoon.

I'm so in love with this piece.

If I had room, it would move in right. now. 

It has three shelves on the inside that are perfect if you want to make it into an entertainment center.

It'd made great storage as a buffet or entryway piece too though. 

I decided the doors needed a little more extra sumthin' sumthin', so I painted the insets a creamy white. 

I distressed just the whites of the doors...

for some reason that just felt right :) 

When I distress a piece, I tend to just go with my gut.

When it looks right, I know I'm done. 

The rest of the piece was glazed for an antiqued look. 

I added some twisted glass knobs to them for a little bit of an update. 

I LOVE the stained top against the blue bottom.

It turned out so pretty! 

Aren't the spindle legs beautiful too? 

Of course I had to fill it with all kinds of vintage what-nots to help it during it's photo-shoot.

Let's just pause a minute for some delicious eye candy...

I'm incredibly sad that I don't have room for this piece myself but that just means that someone else gets to have some gorgeousness in their home!!!
